The Chamber for Hispanic Progress is dedicated to empowering the Hispanic community through advocacy, education, housing, and health initiatives. Our mission is to foster economic development, promote cultural understanding, and provide resources that extend beyond business, encompassing the holistic well-being of our community. By advocating for equitable policies, offering educational opportunities, ensuring access to quality housing, and prioritizing health initiatives, we aim to create a comprehensive support system that propels the Hispanic community toward prosperity and success.

Economic Growth & Small Business Empowerment

This pillar focuses on fostering economic development within the Hispanic community by providing resources, guidance, and support for small business owners and entrepreneurs. Chamber for Hispanic Progress offers workshops, networking events, and access to financial resources to help Hispanic-owned businesses thrive and contribute to the local economy.

Leadership Development & Workforce Training

This pillar focuses on empowering Hispanic individuals to reach their full potential by offering leadership development programs, mentorship opportunities, and workforce training initiatives. Chamber for Hispanic Progress provides professional development workshops, skill-building seminars, and networking opportunities to equip individuals with the tools and knowledge needed to succeed in their careers and become leaders in their communities

Advocacy for Public Policy & Legislation

Chamber for Hispanic Progress actively engages in advocating for equitable public policies and legislation that benefit the Hispanic community in Hampton Roads. Through strategic advocacy efforts, the organization works to address issues such as immigration reform, access to healthcare, education, and housing, ensuring that the voices and needs of the Hispanic population are heard and represented in legislative decisions.

Network-to-Network Collaboration

Chamber for Hispanic Progress facilitates collaboration and networking among Hispanic professionals, businesses, community organizations, and stakeholders through its network-to-network engagement initiatives. By connecting individuals and organizations, the chamber fosters partnerships, fosters collaboration, and creates opportunities for collective action to address common challenges and achieve shared goals for the advancement of the Hispanic community in Hampton Roads.

We are an organization that protects and promotes the civil rights of the Latino population in Virginia.

ITIN Program

The ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number) Program aims to support undocumented immigrants and others who cannot obtain a Social Security Number in acquiring an ITIN.

Small Business Accelerator

We support the development and growth of Hispanic-owned small businesses by providing resources, training, and networking opportunities.
Our business advisory programs and access to financing help drive the local economy and foster entrepreneurship.

Political Engagement Initiative

We are exploring options to develop a program aimed at increasing political participation and representation of the Hispanic community through voter education, advocacy, and leadership development.

Youth Empowerment Program:

We are in the process of designing a comprehensive program aimed at empowering Hispanic youth through mentorship, leadership development, and access to educational resources and opportunities.

Drivers License Program

The Drivers License Program at Chamber for Hispanic Progress is designed to assist members of the Hispanic community in obtaining their driver's licenses.

Immigrant Rights Advocacy Campaign

We advocate for fair and humanitarian immigration policies that respect the rights and dignity of all individuals.
We provide legal assistance, information, and support to immigrants and their families to navigate the complex immigration system and protect their rights.

Workforce Development Program

We offer workforce training programs, professional development, and job search assistance to strengthen the skills and improve the job prospects of Hispanic workers.
We collaborate with local businesses to promote diversity in the workplace and create inclusive employment opportunities.

Health Equity Initiative

We promote the health and well-being of the Hispanic community through awareness programs, accessible healthcare services, and education on disease prevention.
We facilitate access to culturally sensitive medical services and healthcare resources to ensure that everyone has access to the care they need.

Housing Access and Financial Literacy Campaign
